Roccalbegna is included in the territory of the upper valley dell'Albegna behind a steep cliff and picturesque, above which rises a fortification, Grosseto. The village built in the Middle Ages, was a possession of the family of Aldobrandeschi starting from the thirteenth century, becoming the first possession of Siena at the end of the century, while in the middle of the sixteenth century Medici sforzesca ceded to the county of Santa Fiora. Among the buildings in the country are Bichi-Palazzo Ruspoli, composed of a boss and the building remains defensive system.
